Hi historian,
Have you ever considered that people might sleep and not spend their whole life in this forum?
What's the condition of your notes?
For an explanation of the stamp on the Austrian banknotes please see here: http://www.germannotes.com/austria/money/austro-hungarian-1919.shtml Usually the value of the stamped note is lower, as they have been given out later and in time of inflation, i.e. in large quantities.

Sorry for my lack of patience, i just thought i was being ignored, the geld note is not in pristine condition but it is overall very fair, is there any facility for me to post a photo? so you can make a clear judgment,
I have some, 1 fine rentenmark notes dated 30th Jan 1937, there is 6 of them in great condition, i would apreciate your expert advice on these, and thank you for your reply post.

Hi - when you type a post, there is a link "additional Options" directly under the Message field. When you click there you can find a field to upload a picture.
Alternatively there's a grading guide available here: http://www.germannotes.com/faq_grading.shtml

Hi GermanNotes, thank you very much for your most recent reply post, to my query, re the Funf mark note i tried to post the photos but it refused to accept, due to the file size being too big, i will try get a smaller size file of it, to post for you, but i had a look at the link which you provided, thank you for this also, and i would say that my 5 funf mark is in VG condition or possibly in fine condition, judging by the guide, the note is signed M. Rumkowski, in Litzmanstadt, maybe you might be able to give a rough estimate based on this information? or if you would prefer to wait until i get the photo posted then i understand, let me thank you once again for this great service

Hi Historian, in this condition I would estimate the note to be US$ 5-10. Since these notes have been given out pretty much as show case for visitors, rather than as actual means of payment, there are still many sets available in immaculate condition today.

German Notes, Again thank you, i really eppreciate your service, and i am going to keep this note for my collection, as it is no doubt a very important part of history, that many people do not know about, it is not really promoted that these camps had their own curriencies, hospitals, schools etc, a least around the begining of the war.

Hi - but one also have to consider that many of these things (banknotes and facilities) were established for propaganda reasons, specifically in Litzmannstadt, where the the world was to be shown how "human" the prisoners were treated, which was obviously very different from the real situation in the other camps. A very cynical excercise... Another example are the notes from Oranienburg camp - near Berlin. A propaganda effort was made there in relation to the Olympic games 1936.
