Money of War and Occupation

banknote occupied territories 1916 During the two World Wars in the beginning of the 20th century German troops occupied large parts of Europe. Within these occupied territories new banknotes had to be issued to ensure the money supply, provide the army with cash. Additionally in the concentration camps of the Prisoner of War camps specific money was used to make an escape harder.
