The 1996 issue of this bill has improved security features - most visible the hologram on the front. The front side shows a portrait of Balthasar Neumann (1687 - 1753). He was a German architect of the baroque era. In the background pictures of baroque buildings.
The water mark repeats the portrait from the frontside of the note.
