The front side shows a portrait of Maria Sibylla Merian (1647-1717). She was a German painter, especially focussed on natural topics - like the insect next to her portrait. The water mark repeats the portrait from the frontside of the note. Back side of the note:Shows drawings and engravings of Maria Sibylla Merian: dandelion with butterfly and larvae. | ||||
