Date: 2 January 1989

Measures: 16 cm * 7.5 cm

Signatures: Pöhl, Schlesinger

The front side shows a portrait of Paul Ehrlich (1854-1915). He was a German professor of medicine, who developed several new drug and researched cancer. In 1908 he received the Nobel Prize.
The water mark repeats the portrait from the frontside of the note.

Back side of the note:

Shows a microscope. This magnifying instrument takes up the theme from the frontside of the note, insofar as it is heavily used by medical researchers.
