Date: 1971 Measures: 13.5 cm * 6 cm Find out more about the historic background of the period in which this banknote was issued. The front side shows a portrait of Friedrich Engels. Friedrich Engels (1820-1895) was working with Karl Marx to create the foundations of the communist theory. The watermark repeats his portrait. Back side of the note:
