Measures: 14.5 cm * 9 cm

The front side shows a portrait of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. J. W. v. Goethe (1749-1832) was a poet, novellist and dramatist of the German classicist literature (author of "Faust"). He also worked as a natural scientist and created a colour theory and discovered a bone in the human middle ear.
The watermark repeats his portrait.

Reverse:

20 Mark der Deutschen Notenbank DDR 1964 National theatre in Weimar. Weimar is the town were Goethe lived for many years and died.
