December 1922 Measures: 12 cm * 8 cm Find out more about the historic background of the period in which this banknote was issued. > The front side of the note shows a German mintmaster: Jörg Herz - after a painting from G. Penz.. This note had never been issued as 1000 Mark. It was later overprinted with 1 Billion Mark - effectively adding 6 zeros to keep up with the Inflation. | ||||
