Date: 5 January 1899 Measures: 15 cm * 10 cm Shows Germania sitting under an oak, holding a branch of a palm tree, a sword and a shield . Variuos tools and items symbolise trade, idustry, science and agriculture. Given into circulation in June 1899, called on 28 April 1910, valid till 31 December 1910. Design by Emil Döpler, Berlin Main figure engraved by Otto Reim, Berlin; completed by engravers of the Reichsdruckerei Backside of the banknote:
